The Grandpa Rowers, after having crossed the Atlantic Ocean in January 2020, are now engaged in a new sports challenge in favor of the climate.The team will be composed of rowers of three generations, from 18 to 75 years old, coming from Europe, Martinique, Panama, North America, Polynesia and other parts of the world. On a 14.50 meter rowing boat that can accommodate 8 of these athletes, they will complete, in total autonomy, a 16,000 km journey from Martinique to New Caledonia, through the Caribbean Sea, the Panama Canal, the Pacific Ocean via the Galapagos Islands, the Marquesas Archipelago, Tahiti and the Coral Sea.The departure from La Martinique is planned for the fall of 2024 for an arrival between July and September 2025 in Noumea. During the crossing, through a daily report about the various actions taken for the climate, everyone will find ways to commit to this Odyssey for the Earth.An aspiration to live together, a strong commitment in the image of their vision of the planet. A desire to make it viable for all!Inspire, inspire and encourage people to make a commitment to the climate.

The imperative need to act for the planet finds its source and its outcome in the action carried out in this Odyssey for the climate challenge. The primary objective is to encourage the Earth's inhabitants and companies to make a strong and meaningful commitment to the climate. The extraordinary sports challenge is the support of universal values shared by all. The crews are composed of women and men of all generations, just like the inhabitants of the planet. They will be their representatives on board.
