With global warming and the melting of terrestrial glaciers and polar ice caps, the oceans are experiencing a rise in water levels threatening coastal life, creating floodings and even the disappearance of territories or islands such as, for example, the Tuvalu Islands, a Polynesian archipelago northwest of Tahiti.
Our route includes stops in Panama with the passage of the Canal, then in Tahiti before arriving in New Caledonia. These stopovers will be an opportunity to highlight the risks of flooding and degradation of coastal areas along with their consequences: meetings with authorities and associations working on these issues will be organized on site with the widest possible media coverage to generate worldwide awareness.
